- The current scenario of today's solar energy ecosystem is that it is highly unstructured and localized. There are about 50 solar power plants in India but none of them are connected in a manner that there would be a method to perform analytical analysis of the solar energy produced. Today, with the advancements in sensor technology it is a very viable option to connect the solar energy systems to the cloud (internet) with the help of Internet of Things. Once these systems are connected to the cloud, the analysis of the performance productivity and efficiency can be calculated very easily. With the software-technology of Big Data it is also possible to predict possible problems and failures with ease. we are providing possible and viable method to connect the Solar based systems to the Cloud and perform analytical operations to increase efficiency of Solar Energy.
- Advancement of Automation technology life is getting simpler and easier in all aspects. In today's world Automatic systems are being preferred over manual system. With the rapid increase in the number of users of internet over the past decade has made Internet a and parcel of life, and IoT is the latest and emerging internet technology. Wireless Home Automation system(WHAS) using IoT is a system that uses computers or mobile devices to control basic home functions and features automatically through internet from anywhere around the world an automated home is sometimes called a smart home.It is meant to save the electric power and human energy. The home automation system differs from other system by allowing the user to operate the system from anywhere around the world through internet connection.
- Liquid Level Monitoring system is a very innovative system which will inform the users about the level of liquid and will prevent it from overflowing. This system helps to prevent the wastage of water by informing about the liquid levels of the containers by providing graphical image of the containers via a web page.
- Garbage Monitoring system is a very innovative system which will help to keep the cities clean. This system monitors the garbage bins and informs about the level of garbage collected in the garbage bins via a web page. System helps to keep the city clean by informing about the garbage levels of the bins by providing graphical image of the bins via IOT Gecko web development platform.
- It is quite difficult for individual office owners to operate one or more that one offices and keep track of each office appliances individually. At such time we need an online solution for physical office appliances control. Here we propose use of iot technology for office appliance automation. This allows owner to control his/her office appliances through the internet using an easy to use GUI.
- Industries have been automated with machines that allow for fully automated tasks without or with little manual intervention. We propose an internet based industry automation system that allows a single industry operator to control industry appliances with ease using Raspberry Pi and IOT Gecko for development. Our proposed system allows for automation of industrial loads to achieve automation over internet. We use IOT gecko for the web serverinterface and raspberry pi to process and run circuit loads.
- Smart weather reporting system over the internet allows for weather parameter reporting over the internet. It allows the people to directly check the weather stats online without the need of a weather forecasting agency. System uses temperature, humidity as well as rain sensor to monitor weather and provide live reporting of the weather statistics. The system constantly monitors temperature using temperature sensor, humidity using humidity sensor and also for rain. The system constantly transmits this data to the microcontroller, which now processes this data and keeps on transmitting it to the online web server over a wifi connection. This data is live updated to be viewed on the online server system. Also system allows user to set alerts for particular instances, the system provides alerts to user if the weather parameters cross those values.
- Air and sound pollution is a growing issue these days. It is necessary to monitor air quality and keep it under control for a better future and healthy living for all. We provide an air quality as well as sound pollution monitoring system that allows us to monitor and check live air quality as well as sound pollution in a particular areas through IOT. System uses air sensors to sense presence of harmful gases/compounds in the air and constantly transmit this data to microcontroller. Also system keeps measuring sound level and reports it to the online server over IOT. The sensors interact with microcontroller which processes this data and transmits it over internet. This allows authorities to monitor air pollution in different areas and take action against it. Also authorities can keep a watch on the noise pollution near schools, hospitals and no honking areas, and if system detects air quality and noise issues it alerts authorities so they can take measures to control the issue.
- Monitoring and keeping tracking of your electricity consumption for verification is a tedious task today since you need to go to meter reading room and take down readings. Well it is important to know if you are charged accordingly so the need is quite certain.
Well we automate the system by allowing users to monitor energy meter readings over the internet. Our proposed system uses energy meter with microcontroller system to monitor energy usage using a meter.
The meter is used to monitor units consumed and transmit the units as well as cost charged over the internet using wifi connection.
- Monitoring your beloved ones becomes a difficult task in the modern day life. Keeping track of the health status of the your patient at home is a difficult task. Specially old age patients should be periodically monitored and their loved ones need to be informed about their health status from time to time while at work. So we propose an innovative system that automated this task with ease. Our system puts forward a smart patient health tracking system that uses Sensors to track patient health and uses internet to inform their loved ones in case of any issues. Our system uses temperature as well as heartbeat sensing to keep track of patient health. The sensors are connected to a microcontroller to track the status which is in turn interfaced to an lcd display as well as wifi connection in order to transmit alerts. If system detects any abrupt changes in patient heartbeat or body temperature, the system automatically alerts the user about the patients status over IOT and also shows details of heartbeat and temperature of patient live over the internet.
- Electronic toll collection system is the technology that enables the automatic electronic toll collection from the prepaid account registered on the name of vehicle owner, determining whether the vehicle is registered or not and informs the toll authorities avoiding toll violations.
- Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is the application of computer, electronics, and communication technologies and management strategies in an integrated manner to provide traveler information to increase the safety and efficiency of the surface transportation systems. These systems involve vehicles, drivers, passengers, road operators, and managers all interacting with each other and the environment, and linking with the complex infrastructure systems to improve the safety and capacity of road systems.
- A secure channel between a sensor node and internet host is created, hence new security challenges arises and wireless sensor networks is integrated into internet of things. We use heterogeneous online/offline signcryption scheme so that secure communication is provided. We use bilinear diffie-hellman inversion problem in random oracle model, it provides indistinguishability against adaptive chosen ciphertext attacks and existential unforgeability against adaptive chosen messages attacks. This scheme has the following advantages: First, it achieves confidentiality, integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation in a logical single step. Second, it allows a sensor node in an identity-based cryptography to send a message to an Internet host in a public key infrastructure. Third, it splits the signcryption into two phases: i) offline phase; and ii) online phase. In offline phase heavy computations are carried out and in online phase light computations are done.
- The rapid growth in infrastructure and industrial plants creating environmental issues like climate change malfunctioning and pollution has greatly influenced for the need of an efficient, cheap, operationally adaptable and smart monitoring systems. In this context smart sensor networks are an emerging field of research which combines many challenges of computer science, wireless communication and electronics.The solution includes the technology Internet of Things (IoT) which is outcome of merged field of computer science and electronics. Here the sensing devices are connected to the embedded computing system to monitor the fluctuation of parameters like noise and air pollution levels from their normal levels. This model is adaptable and distributive for any infrastructural environment that needs continuous monitoring, controlling and behavior analysis.

Smart Parking System (SPS) which enables the user to find the nearest parking area and gives
availability of parking slots in that respective parking area.And it mainly focus on reducing the time in finding the parking lots and also it avoids the unnecessary travelling through filled parking lots in a parking area.

Many times, in our city we see that the garbage bins or dustbins placed at public places are overloaded. It creates unhygienic conditions for people as well as ugliness to that place leaving bad smell. To avoid all such situations we are going to implement a project called IoT Based Smart Garbage and Waste Collection bins. These dustbins are interfaced with microcontroller based system having IR wireless systems along with central system showing current status of garbage, on mobile web browser with html page by Wi-Fi. Hence the status will be updated on to the html page. Major part of our project depends upon the working of the Wi-Fi module; essential for its implementation. The main aim of this project is to reduce human resources and efforts along with the enhancement of a smart city vision.
